venn 2SAN FRANCISCO, CA. | FEBRUARY 9, 2014 – Venn on Market has opened with 113 units in the “nexus of San Francisco’s most authentic neighborhoods – Hayes Valley, The Mission, Lower Haight, the Castro and SoMa.” The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM) worked with developer MacFarlane Partners to design a reinvented subterranean space for the onsite fitness center.

The facility offers the residents a variety of exercise options; cardio, strength, free weights, ab/stretch, spinning as well as fitness accessories and suspension training from TRX®. TDM provided the equipment and will support the management with a service and preventive maintenance program. Venn on Market is one of six new Bay Area projects for TDM in 2014. “We are extremely excited to expand our operations into Northern California and we will continue our commitment to offer the highest level of customer satisfaction” stated company President, Michael Garvey.

The expansion now allows TDM to directly service customers in four west coast markets; Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego and San Francisco. The company has been a leading provider of commercial exercise equipment sales and service for twenty four years.

Pitzer College Gold Center

CLAREMONT, CA. | JUNE 1, 2014 – Pitzer College opened their new 3,000 square foot student recreation center. Pitzer is in the network of Claremont Colleges, along with undergraduate schools Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College, Pomona College and Scripps College. According to US News it is listed as one of the top 50 “best colleges”.

The new “Gold Center” facility houses a recreational fitness environment for students, faculty, staff, and athletes. The first floor houses cardio, strength and free weight training equipment.  Areas for yoga, pilates, and aerobic activities are on the second floor. The Gold Center features line up of CYBEX ® brand treadmills, Arc Trainers, VR3 circuit and Bravo functional trainers.

The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM) provided the design consultation, layouts and supplied all the equipment for the facilities.

The Beach Cities Health District Center for Health & Fitness

BCHD 2REDONDO BEACH, CA. | FEBRUARY 10, 2014 – The Beach Cities Health District Center for Health & Fitness (CHF) recently upgraded their entire cardiovascular training area.  The facility serves residents from Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo Beach with “the most comprehensive fitness center in the South Bay” offering cardio and strength training, yoga, Pilates, weight management and a staff dietitian.

The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM) worked with management and the fitness staff in the development of a long term plan for new flooring, equipment upgrades and programing to specifically serve the needs of an expanding membership. The facility offers residents a variety of new cardio options including the Cybex Arc Trainer, SCIFIT Recumbent Stepper and Concept II Rower. TDM also installed new PAVI flooring and handled the entire equipment move overnight.

Cindy Foster, CHF General Manager stated, “Baby Boomers make up the majority of our membership because of the unique offerings at CHF. The response to the new machines has been 99% positive and THAT says a lot!”

WHITTIER, CA. | October 1, 2013 – Rio Hondo College celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013. As a comprehensive community college, Rio Hondo offers many strong career-technical programs, such as nursing, fire and police academies, automotive and alternative fuels, a full transfer curriculum, and basic skills courses and services. The Division of Kinesiology, Dance and Athletics recently opened the new fitness center which now averages over 1500 students enrolled each semester.

Students now have a state of the art facility to achieve and maintain their cardiovascular health. The College developed the project and worked exclusively with The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM). The 13,000 square foot space includes cardio, strength and free weight equipment as well as dance and group exercise rooms.

Professor Kathy Pudelko stated, “Our student’s experience has benefited from our circuit training curriculum using the strength and cardio machines. They love our Cybex and the Hoist Roc-it equipment!”  The fitness offering features Cybex, Free Motion, and Hoist machines as part of the cross training program.
