City of Perris
PERRIS, CA. | SEPTEMBER 1, 2015 – Perris is named in honor of Fred T. Perris, chief engineer of the California Southern Railroad. The City, which turned 100 years old in 2011, began as a sleepy farming community on the California Pacific Railroad line. The California Southern connected through the city in the 1880s to build a rail connection between the present day cities of Barstow and San Diego.
The Bob Glass Gymnasium has recently upgraded the on-site fitness center for city residents. The redesigned exercise space had a “make over” to provide extra space and safety. Upgrades included the installation of new rubber flooring and cardiovascular equipment. The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM) worked with city staff on the floor plan and upgraded cardio machines featuring CYBEX® 770 Series bikes, arc trainers and treadmills.
TDM will continue to provide the facility with an enhanced preventive maintenance program utilizing the new Cybex Care program. The Cybex Care program is a new web-based asset management system, offering maintenance guidance, task tracking, insight into cardio machine usage, and a method for submitting and monitoring service cases.
