LAS VEGAS, NV. | SEPTEMBER 26, 2015 – The Mirage Resort in Las Vegas resort was built by developer Steve Wynn and is currently owned and operated by MGM Resorts International. Back in 1980, Wynn started designing the first major ground-up resort in Las Vegas, a hotel and casino more sophisticated than others in the city. This would become The Mirage resort and hotel, which opened in 1989. At the time the 3,044 room was the most expensive hotel-casino in history, with a construction cost of US $630 million.

Since the opening The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM) has worked with the hotel staff on the spa fitness center design through several remodels. The upgraded fitness center now offers a complete line up of cardio, strength and free weight equipment.

The new Cybex cardiovascular machines feature 770 series with Cybex GO. Guests now receive the ultimate workout experience with virtual workout environments, live HD TV, On-Demand content, and music videos. The Cybex GO platform was selected for the variety of offerings and the intuitive, easy-to-use touchscreen.

PERRIS, City of Perris #1CA. | SEPTEMBER 1, 2015 – Perris is named in honor of Fred T. Perris, chief engineer of the California Southern Railroad. The City, which turned 100 years old in 2011, began as a sleepy farming community on the California Pacific Railroad line. The California Southern connected through the city in the 1880s to build a rail connection between the present day cities of Barstow and San Diego.

The Bob Glass Gymnasium has recently upgraded the on-site fitness center for city residents. The redesigned exercise space had a “make over” to provide extra space and safety. Upgrades included the installation of new rubber flooring and cardiovascular equipment. The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM) worked with city staff  on the floor plan and upgraded cardio machines featuring  CYBEX® 770 Series bikes, arc trainers and treadmills.

TDM will continue to provide the facility with an enhanced preventive maintenance program utilizing the new Cybex Care program. The Cybex Care program is a new web-based asset management system, offering maintenance guidance, task tracking, insight into cardio machine usage, and a method for submitting and monitoring service cases.

SAN DIEGO, CA. | SEPTEMBER 15, 2015 – Oliver McMillan has opened EV, a five-story residential building fronting 13th Street between Market and G Streets in the East Village District of downtown San Diego. The new complex includes 208 midrise and ground-level apartments with studio, one- and two-bedroom residences, plus two ground-level retail spaces. Golden Nugget – Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES, LA. | AUGUST 1, 2015 – The Golden Nugget in Lake Charles, Louisiana opened last year with an 18-hole championship golf course, one-of-a-kind pool, private beach front with marina and a number of Landry’s signature restaurants. The spa and fitness center are the latest amenities to open at the $700 million hotel and casino which was developed by Houston billionaire restaurateur Tilman Fertitta.

The 17,000-square-foot Spa and Salon at the Golden Nugget, touted as a Las Vegas-like feature has 10 treatment rooms, a full-service salon offering manicures, pedicures, hair, makeup and airbrush tanning. After treatment, guests can use the spa’s whirlpool, steam and sauna.

The fitness center has five star features; free weights, treadmills, bikes, cross trainers and an Eagle strength circuit from CYBEX®. The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM) worked with developers and spa staff on the design and layout prior to install.
