USC2LOS ANGELES, CA | APRIL 11, 2016 – The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM) has supported the Swim with Mike Physically Challenged Athletes Scholarship Fund for the past five years.  The fund helps individuals who have suffered a serious accident or an illness. Over 178 scholarship recipients have attended schools from coast to coast thanks to the hard work and dedication of thousands of volunteers, swimmers, sponsors, and donors.

This year the main event, a fundraising swim-a-thon was held April 11th at the University of Southern California. It was a special day for “TEAM DUMBELL MAN” member Natalie Buchoz. Nat graduated this year after studying public relations with a minor in sports media. (ESPN look out!) She grew up in Huntington Beach, and attended Edison High School where she played several sports; volleyball, softball, swimming, and soccer

TDM is proud to support organizations and programs that enhance the lives individuals with physical challenges like USC Swim with Mike Event, NextStep Fitness and the Orange County Goodwill Fitness Center.

The Dumbell Man Supports Los Angeles Clippers Foundation…

Clippers #2LOS ANGELES, CA. | SEPTEMBER 22, 2014 –  The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment® (TDM) teamed with Chris Paul and his foundation, the CP3 Foundation, along with the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation to help open up a Media and Technology Lounge at the Salvation Army Seimon Family Youth and Community Center in South Los Angeles.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be here,” Paul said about the opening. “To have this opportunity to give back to these kids with brand new computers and all kinds of games is kind of simple to tell you the truth. It’s the right thing to do.”

The Media and Technology Lounge consists of brand new computers, a SMART Board, e-readers and tablets. In addition, the Clippers Foundation re-opened the Community Center’s renovated library, a game room and new fitness center from The Dumbell Man.

The Salvation Army Seimon Family Youth and Community Center serves one of the most troubled urban regions in Southern California. Offering services in three independent programs, the center supplies living assistance to low-income families through Family Services, growth and learning development for infants to five-year olds through Child Care, and academic, artistic and athletic activities for students of all ages through its Youth, Adult and Senior Programs.

The Dumbell Man Supports Los Angeles Fire Department

Team Dumbell Man with CoryLOS ANGELES, CA, | JANUARY 9, 2014 – The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment (TDM) was proud to donate equipment recently to Los Angeles Fire Station 106. The Station holds the LAFD Fire Cadet Program which provides young men and women with an opportunity to learn about firefighting and emergency medical services as future career choices.

TDM joined fitness expert and Ms. Olympia champion Cory Everson in coordinating the install and developing the exercise program for the station and cadet program. Young men and women ages 14 through 20 from all areas of the community participate in fire department training activities, meetings, and exercise programs to ready them for a career in fire service.

This program develops character and leadership qualities in a friendly and professional setting. The new exercise equipment with help provide a sample of the physical conditioning required. The program provides youth with positive adult and peer role models in a safe and supervised environment.

Cory Everson stated, “Team Dumbell Man was did not hesitate to help. The donation of their equipment and time was greatly appreciated.”

The Dumbell Man Supports Cancer Support

Pink 100 Arc EventREDONDO BEACH, CA, | OCTOBER 8, 2013 – The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment (TDM) was proud to support the Cancer Support Community again this year with a silent auction item at the 2013 “Girls Night Out” event”.

The local charity provides free support group programs to cancer patients and their loved ones. The 25 year old organization serves patients and families through education and outreach programs.

In the past three years, TEAM DUMBELL MAN has helped raise over $25,000 with the creation of the Pink 100 fitness events using the PINK Cybex brand Treadmill and Arc Trainer. Dumbell Man Sponsors 2nd Annual Pink 100

TDM-Supports_PI-002Redondo Beach, CA, November 1, 2011 – The Dumbell Man sponsored The PINK 100 again this year. The event was hosted by the Spectrum Club in Redondo Beach. Using Two Cybex Pink Arc Trainers for 100 hours, 100 participants exercised for one hour each.

The 2nd Annual Pink 100 again exceeded expectations with over $10,000.00 in donations to date. The funds will benefit The Cancer Support Community, a local non profit organization that provides free support group programs to cancer patients and their loved ones.

Michael Garvey, President stated, “Thank you to the Spectrum Club, Skechers Shoes and Team Dumbell for another great event this year. We love to help and have fun with a great group of exercisers!”
