MANHATTAN FEBRUARY BEACH, 1, 2010 CA, – Members of Team Dumbell Man assisted the Mira Costa High School Girl’s Athletic program with the opening of their new fitness center. The remodeled 1500 square foot facility will be used exclusively for girl’s athletics.

The (TDM) Dumbell Man Fitness donated equipment, accessories and support service to ready the room in time for the spring athletic season. Tim Cooper, Head Athletic Trainer stated, “The Dumbell Man made the push to get the room ready and really helped us out. MCHS is thankful for their continued support of our sports programs.”

Team Dumbell Man Runs to Help Stop Gun Violence

TDM-Supports_Wo-002LOS ANGELES, CA, OCTOBER 4, 2009 – Members of Team Dumbell Man participated in the 1st annual Women against Gun Violence (WAGV) 10K to help raise funds and awareness for the organization.

WAGV brings attention and resources to preventing gun violence. Donations will benefit outreach programs for victims and their families. The event at California State University, Northridge commemorated the 10-Year Anniversary of the shooting at the North Valley Jewish Community Center in Granada Hills.

Team Dumbell Man supported The Victor y Over Violence Walk/Run Event with over $3,000 in donations. Michael Foster, co-captain of Team Dumbell Man stated, “I want to thank all my fellow co-workers, family and friends who participated and honored the memory of Jamiel Andre Shaw.”

TDM-Supports_La-002Las Vegas, NV, July 1, 2009 – Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons’ Black Tie Auction was recently held at the Southern Highlands Golf Club in Las Vegas. The Silent Auction provides support for exceptional local charities, benefitting women, children and teens in need.

The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment (TDM) donated Cybex 425T treadmill and home gym consultation. The 9th annual event raised over $800,000. Ron Haddad, TDM Vice President of Development stated, “The Dumbell Man is extremely proud to be involved in supporting the Governor’s charitable cause.”

Weight Room Donated to Honor Jamiel Shaw

TDM-Supports_LA-002Los Angeles, CA, December 1, 2008 – Los Angeles High School will open a new Varsity Sports Weight Room in the name of former football star Jamiel Shaw. The facility will be dedicated in the memory of the fallen athlete later this year.

The Dumbell Man Fitness Equipment (TDM) donated the equipment for the new 900 square foot facility which features a variety of machines and weight training stations. Ron Haddad, TDM Vice President of Development stated, “We are honored to be involved and have the support of the Shaw family, coaches and school administrators.”

Goodwill of Orange County Fitness Center

TDM-Goodwill of OCSanta Ana, CA.  September 25, 2008 – The Goodwill of Orange County received a check for $50,000 to help support their capital campaign from The Dumbell  Man Fitness  Equipment   (TDM). The money will help support the Goodwill Fitness Center and its operation of their new 12,000 square foot facility.

The state-of-the-art Goodwill Fitness Center is the first facility of its kind in the area. It is designed for people with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses. The Center is outfitted with the latest accessible fitness equipment and staffed by trained fitness professionals, including an on-site physical therapist.

Ron Haddad, TDM Vice President of Business Development stated, “We are honored to have been selected as part of the Goodwill’s team and we are committed to helping them help others.”

Specialized therapy classes, nutrition programs and exercise training will also be offered. The unique 12,000 square foot space will be complete with a professional staff, cutting-edge equipment and an uplifting interior design.
